During the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Developmentheld at UN headquarters in New York in July, a fashion collection made with forest fabrics with sustainable certification was presented for the first time.

The new Forest for Fashion initiative shows it is not necessary to reduce the quality or beauty of clothes to make them greener.

“Dríade” is a collection from the Spanish designer María Lafuente inspired by the mythical nymphs who protected the forests. All “Dríade” clothes have been produced with forest fabrics from Textil Santanderina. The company has PEFC certification and has been working for sustainability in the fashion world for several years.
